The management, technicians and safety department of Continental Stress all believe that we provide the best option to safely solve all our client’s heat treating requirements.

All Continental Stress employees are highly versed in the latest heat treating techniques and industry specifications. Our field technicians as well as our furnace technicians receive continuous in-house specific training and mentoring. All technicians are quality trained and are certified in Alberta to industry recognized standards.

Superior Operations & Customer Service

We believe in providing our client with the best “hands on” approach to heat treating. All of our work is completed to client specifications and each stage of our operation may be verified with the use of our Inspection and Test Plan. Completion of the job safely and on time is our goal.

Thermocouple Attachment Units

About Our Units

Thermocouples are attached with a TAU (Thermocouple attachment unit) to assure accurate material temperature. Thermocouple quantity, location and heating element placement and band widths, insulating, cable routing and connections, material supporting, are all available for review by our clients while we are on the project site.

Client Access & Control

In addition to openly completing the important install/set-up portion of our work for the client’s review, we remain on site during the critical heat cycling stage.

Not only are we able to provide instantaneous reactions to any and all changes at the work site, our clients have full access to observe our controlling and recording equipment at any point during the heat cycling program.

We provide all of our clients with a hard copy of our performance right at the work site. We never remove or bring in heat cycle records from/to the project site. What our clients watch and inspect as it happens in real time, in front of them, is exactly what is recorded and left for their quality control program.

Client Education & Review Process

Continental Stress promotes the awareness, to all of our clients and site owners, of the importance of proper heat treating services and procedures.

We encourage full involvement and constant review of our services to help ensure that the critical design specifications of the welded structures and components are held to the highest possible standards with our heat treating methods.

Soak Band Widths

Soak band widths are derived from code and heat band widths (heating elements) are calculated from the soak band. Continental Stress technicians have the training and integrity to always provide the proper heat band width.
